Less clothing = less laundry
right?
I can see how that would work; less options so you wear that pair of pants an extra time or are more careful about getting messy, don't change when you get home or just being lazy and throwing it in the washing basket after it touches the ground.
Or, does less clothing = doing laundry more so it equals out?
I can see that too. Anyone have any experience with reducing the items of clothing each family member has and its effect on their laundry?

Why not just go naked? ;)
I find that when we have fewer clothes I end up doing laundry more frequently and in smaller loads, which isn't good. You have to find the right balance - not too much, but just enough!
Sadly I've not noticed that side effect. I try to do a load every day, if there is enough laundry for it. I find it easier to handle in small loads, not mountains worth.
I'm on board with this 100%
